Projects on Credit & Election Coverage

Middle East correspondent: Lena Pettersson

September 2007  -  SVT Website  -   Al Amana Website

1

SVT (Swedish National Television) produced a series of reports about Morocco with the topic of women and their role in Moroccan society taking centre stage. Lena Pettersson, Middle East correspondent for SVT, travelled to Morocco in September 2007 to cover the Moroccan election and to report on Moroccan women. She chose to examine the Al-Amana Foundation and specifically the credit-based funding that the association gives to women in the countryside. Pettersson finds many inspiring stories of women whose projects succeeded in spite of the many difficulties encountered in Morocco.
