Travel to the 16th century to meet one of the most
predominant kings in Moroccan history, Al Mansour Addahbi,
who made the famous trip to Timbuktu to barter Salt for
Gold; his trip was one of the largest endeavours taken on by
a Moroccan king within the continent of Africa.
This documentary, brought to you by Josh Bernstein, focuses
on the magnificent palaces and buildings that Al Mansour
built upon his return from Mali. Many of these buildings
were constructed using the gold that Al Mansour brought from
Timbuktu. After his renowned trip, the king became known by
a new name, Ahmed Al Mansour Addahbi, which means the

The famous Radio-Canada program “Une Heure Sur Terre”
compares the Dutch immigration system to that of Canada. One
of their focal points is the test required by Dutch
consulates for anyone who wants to travel to Holland, either
to study or immigrate. Moroccans make up the second largest
group of people who pass this test every year at Dutch
consulates worldwide, inspiring the “Une Heure Sur Terre”
team to take a closer look at Morocco and its emigrants.
